Management of the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, has announced a new resumption date for the 2016/2017 academic session after several weeks of disrupted academic activities.
The announcement is contained in a letter signed by the school’s Registrar, Olujimi Iretola Olukoya, and dated 23rd June, 2017.

In view of this development, students are expected to resume on the 2nd of July, 2017, while the disrupted first semester examinations are expected to commence 4th July, 2017.

According to the University’s Registrar, “students would be allowed into the examination hall upon presentation of first semester registration printouts, among other measures put in place”.

Recall that the school had shut down its academic activities following the May 29th ‘student’s crisis’ (protest).

The crisis erupted following the ‘Management’s refusal’ to issue out school identity cards to new students and the ‘ban’ on the use of ‘hot plates’ in the halls of residence.
