đź“› HOUSE OF DISHONOURABLE MEN AND WOMEN
Since the beginning of the 8th Assembly, I have questioned the usefulness. I have also written about how they are biggest problem in this country. Like most Nigerians, I have drawn my conclusion about the dishonourable men and women – pretenders, that are the clog in the wheel of progress. These self serving and greedy set of individuals have refused to change even when the Nigerian people have called them out severally to be accountable and open.
đź“› The 8th Assembly – both the lower and upper chamber have turned deaf ears to the peoples request for responsible leadership. From their humongous allowance for little or no meaningful work done, they continue to bleed the country dry. Calls to cut their bogus pay and perks of office never saw the light of the day. For these shameless set of individuals that call themselves honourables, it is all about them, them and them only. It does not concern them that Nigerians are going through hardships or that the country is dire financial straits. They have continued with the looting and pilfering of our limited funds. Shameless.
đź“› BUHARI’S BUDGET OF HOPE
In comes President Buhari, who we know to be deeply against corruption, pilfering of public funds or any form of fleecing state funds. Buhari prepared one of the audacious and ambitious budget to change the landscape of the country through laudable projects and programs that would improve our infrastructure and economic growth. That Budget was dubbed the Budget of Hope.
đź“› WHAT DID THE 8TH ASSEMBLY DO?
The 8th Assembly did everything to frustrate the Budget of Hope with all manners of frivolous accusations against President Buhari. First, the shameless Assembly declared that the Budget was missing, it was later found but with serious allegations of padding. Several line items were added. Some important capital projects were removed. Flimsy constituency projects were added for them to pilfer.
đź“› The same shameless National Assembly who were the culprits that padded the budget blamed Mr President and his cabinet. The Budget Padding scandal became a national discourse. There were several and deliberate delays by NASS to bully Mr President to pass the Budget. But Buhari being who he is, stood his ground. By this time, many had lost patience but we pleaded with Nigerians to bear with Mr President because he has the interest of our nation at heart.
đź“› THANK GOD FOR BUHARI INSISTENCE ON CHECKING THE BUDGET
The 8th Assembly tried all antics to force Mr President to sign the Budget. They sent Mr President the Budget cover only and withheld the details. But Buhari is not a man you can intimidate. He continued to stand his ground. Eventually, after the 8th Assembly and their shenanigans, the Budget was signed into law.
đź“› THE SHOCKING PADDING REVELATIONS
I don’t know whether you have been following and  if you have, how much of the shocking revelations that you have seen. We know that these people never meant well for us but thank God that their cover have been blown open. The shocking but interesting budget padding revelations started when Abdulmumin Jibrin opened up after losing his Chairmanship of the House Committee on Appropriation. See the Step by Step guide infographics explaining how National Assembly steals from us.
đź“› ABDULMUMIN JIBRIL IS NOW A CANARY
Since being ousted from his position as the chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, Mr Jibrin has been singing, almost a daily basis. He has opened a can of worms about the House of Representatives with stinging accusations on Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the House , his deputy Yusuf Lasun and Chief Whip Alhassan Doguwa, and Minority Whip Leo Ogor. He accused them of to earmarking about ₦40 billion to themselves in the National Assembly budget and that he was the one who thwarted their plot.
đź“› WHY THE DEAFENING SILENCE ON THE PART OF YAKUBU DOGARA & OTHERS?
With the drama that surrounded the passage of the Budget and the huge controversy it generated, silence on the part of the accused persons is not golden.
It important that the allegations are taken seriously by the government. The allegations in which Mr Jibrin detailed a step-by-step guide of how Mr. Dogara allegedly hijacked the budget consideration process in other to introduce dubious line items must be taken seriously.
đź“› Law enforcement and anti graft agencies should not wait any minute longer. Serious allegations have been. There is a willing witness who is ready to supply the evidence required. This is too serious to ignore. This is a golden opportunity for Nigeria to breathe heavily on some of the dishonest and self serving representatives in the 8th Senate. It is season of open confessions.
Let others who are in the padding scandal sing too. It is in our national interest.
đź“› HEREWITH SOME QUESTIONS RAISED BY ABDULMUMIN JIBRIN
To Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun, Whip Alhassan Doguwa and Minority Leader Leo Ogor. They must answer these questions.
1. Why did you take the decision to fraudulently shortchange the House by taken away 40 billion naira out of the 100 billion naira allocated for constituency projects and distributing same to yourself and others without the approval of the House?
2. Why did you approach the former house appropriation chairman with written personal requests and list of about 30 billion naira to be inserted into the 2016 budget and his inability to get that done caused a major rift between you all and him?
3. Why did you insert wasteful projects for your various constituencies worth about 20billion naira despite the former appropriation chairman’s professional advice against such?
4. Why did you ignore his complaint to you that just about 10 standing committees of the House inserted over 2000 projects worth N284billion
5. Why did you take away the appropriation committee secretariat on two occasions where several insertions were made into the budget which created avoidable tension during the budget process?

đź“› A full probe of all concerned should be carried immediately before they can tamper with or destroy the evidence. EFCC should get on to them – everybody involved including Abdulmumin Jubrin.
đź“› The stench of corruption oozing out of the National Assembly is unprecedented. From the Senate President, Bukola Saraki to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, their corruption stinks to the high heavens. Anyone who abhor corruption cannot both loathe the decadence in both Houses.
đź“› Â President Buhari may have endured the stench by holding up his nose. It must have been unbearable to put up with such dishonest bunch called National Assembly. I have not exempted or excluded anyone of them from the “tarred brush” because I have not seen any of them raise alarm regarding what is going on there. So, you will have to excuse me for that.
📛 We thank God that their thieving tendencies have finally caught up with them.
God is restoring Nigeria back.
God has taken charge.
The Dishonourable Assembly have been shamed.
President Buhari has been vindicated.
Mr President has done well insisting that things are done the right way.
The sacrifices Nigerians made for Change shall never be in vain.
Let the Probe for Budget Padders Begin.
