APC Is Edo’s Best; Why Obaseki Should Emerge Flag-bearer

#EdoDecides2016 APC IS EDO’S BEST; WHY OBASEKI SHOULD EMERGE FLAGBEARER Published in January 2016 When Governor Adams Oshiomhole became the governor of Edo State, he inherited a state that was abandoned by his predecessor Lucky Igbinedion of the People Democratic Party. He inherited a state that was full of dilapidated infrastructures. He inherited a state that was comatose by reckless leadership, greed, stealing, corruption and diversion of state funds into private pockets – the pockets of Lucky Igbinedion’s family and cronies. Edo State was a mere shadow with nothing to write home about. Then in comes Governor Adams Oshiomhole, he assumed office and rolled up his sleeves. Governor Oshiomhole is not afraid to speak up, where necessary. He embarked on rebuilding Edo State from the crumbles left behind. He wasn’t perturbed about the scale of work He dug and immersed himself into it rebuilding Edo State from scratch. Today, Edo State is standing tall and on the part of progress. As Oshiomhole prepares to leave the stage, like where an actor has concluded a scene, Edo State needs CONTINUITY to continue from where Governor Oshiomhole stopped. So this brings me to the question who now for Edo State? Who will best represent the people and their best interests? To me, Edolites cannot look at People Democratic Party where the Hawks like of “Mr Fix It” are still loitering around...

NANS to FG; Reverse Fuel Price Hike Now

PRESS STATEMENT 15TH MAY, 2016 NANS TO FEDERAL GOVERNMENT; REVERSE FUEL PRICE HIKE NOW The National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS) Zone B expressly register total dissatisfaction towards the callous and insensitive hike in price of Premium Motor Sprit (PMS) from #86 to#145 by President Muhammadu Buhari. NANS is irked by this ugly development that has no doubt turned the country’s economy upside down. The Minister of State for Petroleum, Mr. Ibe Kachikwu had made public declaration concerning the PMS price hike to 145, stating that it is the best for the nation. But the truth is that Mr. Kachikwu’s verbal utterance is a pronouncement of economic malady in disguise, to the nation. President Buhari who claims to be the apex Minister of Petroleum has outrightly jettisoned the tenets of democracy by this singular act of his, haven failed to consult relevant stakeholders. It could be recalled that NANS had advised the President to abdicate his acclaimed position as the Minister of Petroleum, pointing out that it would spell disaster on the nation’s economy and here we are as we have been vindicated. Contrarily to this demand the President have remained obdurate and tactically recalcitrant to our demands. It is conspicuously clear that the Minister of State Petroleum , Mr. Kachikwu is only working in line with the President’s directives. And it becomes bizarre to understand why a President who...
